Juntos/Together College and Career Readiness 5-Week Series for Latino Teens and Families Starts March 31 in Moline, IL

(MOLINE, Ill.) University of Illinois Extension invites Latino teens in middle and high school and their families to attend Juntos/Together - a 5 week series to help them prepare for college and future careers. The program aims to make education a family goal for Latino youth by encouraging and inspiring them to graduate from high school and attend higher education.

The Juntos/Together 4-H program will take place on Tuesdays, March 31 – April 28 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Butterworth Center, 1105 8th St. Moline, IL. Snacks and childcare for any younger siblings will be provided at no cost for all students and families that attend. The program will help guide students and families through understanding the benefits of high school graduation, help them set goals, discover ways that college or trade school can be affordable, tour colleges, learn about a variety of careers and trades, and increase feelings of empowerment that families have to defend and work to improve their local schools.  Come learn more about the program by attending the first session on Tuesday, March 31st at the Butterworth Center.
