University of Illinois Extension’s Local Government Education program will be offering two webinars on legislative updates to brief government officials on any changes that may impact local and state governmental operations in 2020. Illinois State Legislative Update Webinar January 23, Noon – 1 PM

Following the State’s Veto Session, Illinois Association of County Board Members’ local government legislative experts, Kelly Murray and Taylor Anderson, will discuss recent and potential future changes in legislation at the state levels that will have a direct impact on Illinois local governments. With a Q&A session following the presentation, participating officials will have opportunities to discuss impact and intent to develop a better understanding of mandated expectations.

Federal Legislative Update, January 30, Noon – 1 PM

Eryn Hurley and Deborah Cox from the National Association of Counties (NACo) in Washington D.C. will discuss recent and potential future changes in legislation at federal levels that will have a direct impact on Illinois local governments. With a Q&A session following the presentation, participating officials will have opportunities to discuss impact and intent to develop a better understanding of mandated expectations.
