Communities are concerned about aging buildings in their downtowns. How can these historic resources be saved and safely restored? What opportunities exist, and how to overcome the challenges?

This session is part two of a series on historic properties and projects. During this second part, participants will learn the next steps after creating the national registration district, examples of application cases, what successful projects look like, and what challenges to be prepared for. The project-oriented session will also include the project's funding options and financial aspects, as well as what funders value and how this process can be feasible for smaller communities.

Presented by Quinn Adamowski, Regional Advocacy Manager, Landmarks Illinois.

Quinn Adamowski is a leader, administrator, and organizer committed to enhancing communities' quality of life through advocacy for historic preservation, the arts, and tourism. He is part of the team at Landmarks Illinois as the Regional Advocacy Manager, serving as the organization’s frontline preservation advocate throughout Illinois.
