What is broadband and how do we connect to the internet? Explore “last-mile” broadband delivery technologies—fiber, fixed-wireless, satellite, cable, and more—comparing speeds, cost, pros, and cons of each broadband technology and unique technological challenges facing urban vs. rural communities.

About this series:

The Illinois Broadband Lab and University of Illinois Extension are presenting a series of free webinars Thursdays at Noon throughout July and August to help communities and providers across the state learn best practices and discover available grant opportunities for increasing broadband access, adoption, and application. The webinars will bring together guest experts, helpful resources, and new tools and initiatives for those just getting into the Connect Illinois conversation, as well as detailed assistance for those looking to learn more about grant opportunities and the next steps on their broadband projects and goals.
