
The 4-H oral interpretation project combines the arts of public speaking, performance, and literary appreciation, allowing youth to develop key communication skills and actively engage the world around them. During this four-day mini-camp, you can learn ways to build confidence when speaking and improve your 4-H oral interpretation project or school speeches in the future!

Ages: 10-15
Dates: Monday, Aug. 4 to Thursday, Aug. 7 from 1:30-3 p.m. each day
Location: Kane County Extension Office
Cost to participate: $15 per youth
What is the 4-H Oral Interpretation Project? Oral Interpretation is part of the 4-H Public Presentations project group. Presentations in Oral Interpretation must be published works, and manuscripts or transcripts must be submitted prior to the event. They may be presented as an individual or a two-person team entry. The types of entries could include, prose and short stories, poetry, theatrical interpretation, published speech recitation. Youth do not need to be 4-H members or enrolled in the oral interpretation project to participate in this camp.
