The 4-H oral interpretation project combines the arts of public speaking, performance, and literary appreciation, allowing youth to develop key communication skills and actively engage the world around them. During this 4-day mini-camp, you can learn ways to build confidence when speaking and improve your oral interpretation project for next year!

Ages: 10-15
Dates: Monday, Aug. 4 to Thuesday, Aug. 7 from 1:30-3 p.m. each day
Location: Kane County Extension Office
Cost to participate: $15 per youth
About the instructor: Katie McFarland has helped direct 15 shows, including "Beauty and the Beast," "Peter Pan," and "High School Musical." She has been teaching music since 2012, including piano, voice, and audition coaching. She also taught theater at a local private school for four years, and she holds a degree in the arts from NYU.
