This program will focus on how good conservation practices benefit the environment and improve the value of your farming operation. Join us for an educational day learning about conservation practices to keep nutrients on your farm and the cost-sharing opportunities available in your area. Farm financial documents can be used as a decision-making tool when considering various management opportunities. Attendees will learn how to conduct a basic financial analysis using a few simple documents from your farm.

Optional Farm Tour | 2–4 PM

Enjoy an up‑close look at raising sheep and goats for meat, fiber, and land management. The tour features rotational grazing with electric netting, a home‑built mobile shade system, and a newly planted prairie pasture.
This event is presented in collaboration with University of Illinois Extension and the Rock Island County Soil and Water Conservation District. Women and the Land: Spotlight on Conservation is an Annie’s Project‑inspired event supporting women in agriculture through education, networks, and resources.
