Nourish Your Heart

Join Kristin Bogdonas, Illinois Extension food and nutrition educator, at 5:30 pm on April 23 at the East Moline library to take proactive steps toward a heart-healthy lifestyle and reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease. Leave equipped with the knowledge and tools to make informed food choices, shop effectively, and prepare delicious meals that support a healthy heart. From Garden to Health: Gut Microbes & Herbs

Join us on Monday, April 27 at the Hauberg Carriage House for an evening of garden‑inspired wellness. Learn how plant‑diverse foods and fresh herbs can support better health through two expert‑led sessions focused on gut health and practical herb use. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with programs from 6–8 p.m. The $15 fee includes appetizers and hands‑on guidance you can use at home.

Introduction to the MIND Diet: Eating for Brain Health

Discover how the MIND diet—an approach combining the Mediterranean and DASH diets—can support long‑term brain health. In this session, Nutrition and Wellness Educator Kristin Bogdonas shares the foods, meal patterns, and practical strategies that help protect cognitive function and reduce Alzheimer’s risk.
