There are many environmental benefits to reducing stormwater runoff, and it can be done in ways that enhance landscapes and natural areas.

Illinois Extension will be hosting a two-part Rainscape Workshop on March 30, and April 6 from 9 am - 3 pm at the Rock Island County Extension office in Milan, Ill. Participants will learn methods for managing stormwater to reduce runoff and make good use of this precious resource on site. Learn stormwater management methods, plant selection, project design, and landscape maintenance. Participants will also be invited to participate in the construction of a rain garden later in the spring of 2023.

The cost for the series is $50 and includes lunch. You must register in advance. Sign up at go.illinois.edu/Stormwater or call Illinois Extension at (309) 756-9978.
