In January I was given the honor to present to educators, Chicago public school board members, superintendents and administrators at the annual Superintendents Commission for the Study of Demographics and Diversity. I spoke on inquiry based teaching and the Next Generation Science Standards. It was a pleasure to be in the presence of accomplished educators such as Dr. Garrard Mcclendon and Dr. Doris McEwen who were two of the five keynote speakers. The regional conference has an annual theme and this year it was 'transforming the paradigm of educating children'. I thoroughly enjoyed the group I presented to and the experience as a whole. If you are an educator I would definitely keep an eye out for next years regional conference!
