An hour-long webinar, scheduled to begin at 9 AM on March 2, will present the results of NREC-funded research regarding how P placement may affect loss.

A detailed description of the presentation is provided by the Illinois Farm Bureau, a webinar sponsor: "Ms. Greer's research examines how the deep placement of phosphorus might reduce phosphorus losses from farm fields. Two years of research results show that deep band placement of phosphorus results in less phosphorus loss than phosphorus that is broadcast on. She and her team looked at both no-till and strip-till fields, and simulated 10-year rain events to test for nutrient loss. They also examined yield results from their test plots. Ms. Greer will discuss her findings and take questions during this webinar. Her research is supported by NREC and her farmer cooperators".
