On May 13, a group of master naturalists kicked off the cleanup of the rain garden we maintain for Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation at 302 North FirstStreet in Champaign.The siberian irises (Iris sibirica)were at their peak with blue false indigo (Baptisiaaustralis) just about ready to burst on the scene.

Cathy Barnard (MN 2014) is the site steward for the rain garden.With help from her husband Bruce, Dottie Davito, Ruth Ann Kingery, and Diane Wilhite, the litter and weeds were removed and native plants from the Grand Prairie Friends plant sale were added.
