Volunteers needed for Produce Safety research study

Dr. Hao Feng, Food Engineer/Professor and his team at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has a Food Safety Project that is doing research aimed at reducing microbial contamination of fresh produce, so that the risk of illness in consumers can be reduced significantly. The project is interested in assessing farmer awareness of good agricultural practices (GAPs) for production of safe food. Participation in the survey includes a $15 certificate to attend one of the University of Illinois Extension GAPS workshops (the face-to-face opportunities have passed, but there are two webinar classes scheduled; one in April and the other in June ; April 7, 14, 21, 28 - https://webs.extension.uiuc.edu/registration/?RegistrationID=9624 and June 2, 9, 16, 23- https://webs.extension.uiuc.edu/registration/?RegistrationID=9627)
