Vermicompost is the nutrient rich by-product of worm digestion and is a super food for our soils. University of Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator Austin Little will demonstrate how to build a vermicompost box at home during a free online webinar.

"Vermicomposting is an easy hobby and a good way to recycle waste into high quality compost," says Little. "We'll explore the ins and outs of successful worm farming to produce vermicompost, as well as ways to keep worms productive."

One must register online for the 1 p.m. May 15 webinar.

Illinois Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in programming, contact the webinar organizer. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your needs.
