The Speaking for Illinois 4-H training is a chance for 4-H members to help tell our story.
This virtual session introduces public speaking skills that will prepare teens to be the voice of 4-H at state legislative events and to meet with county and state elected officials, potential donors, civic groups, and new volunteers. Learn how to adapt your 4-H story to specific audiences and improve your business etiquette skills.
This training is a joint youth/adult partnership including members of the Illinois State 4-H Youth Leadership Team and Extension adults and volunteers with expertise in government, speaking, and 4-H. Members need to be at least 14 to participate. Training is offered three times a year.
Register for free by March 4.
Registered participants will be emailed an agenda for the day's training, details about the program and directions on how to call in. Youth must attend the entire training to be included on the state Speaking for Illinois 4-H roster. Please log in a few minutes early to check-in.
