
Join Master Naturalists and Sugar Grove Nature Center in Funks Grove for a day of outdoor activities in nature!
- Morning Trail Run - parking lot to green loop trail, run begins at 9:30 AM
- Guided nature hikes
- Blacksmithing and woodturning demonstrations
- Bee and pollinator programs
- Miller Park Zoo @ 10:30 a.m.
- University of Illinois Bat Conservation @ 1:30 p.m.
- Youth nature activity stations with community partners including building fairy homes, animal track discoveries, and more!
- Pack a picnic or grab lunch at the vendors
Sugar Grove Nature Center in Funks Grove has hosted the event for several years now. Remember to bring your bug spray, sunscreen, hat, and water so you will have a great time on the trails and stay safe. No registration is required and the event is FREE to the public. Picnic tables are available for public use and vendors will be on site that day with food available for purchase. Restroom facilities will also be available.
