Our programs target youth and adults, individuals and families, as well as business owners and community leaders.

Extension Program Coordinator - 4-H Youth Development, Livingston County

The Extension Program Coordinator, 4-H Youth Development supports the promotion, expansion, and implementation of University of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Development Programs in the schools and communities. These duties include: Identifying critical priority needs and issues, with the assistance of other staff, to be addressed through 4-H programs. Facilitates the planning of educational activities in an assigned area in conjunction with other staff and volunteers. Develops plans to involve volunteers in specific educational activities, which include recruitment and training. Networks and/or collaborates with appropriate designated community organizations and groups to assess needs and develop educational activities to address those needs. Assists in formulating and ensuring the implementation of standard operating procedures for program activities, including guidelines to ensure the safety and welfare of participants.

Extension Program Coordinator - 4-H Youth Development, Unity Community Center

This program coordinator assists the 4-H Youth Development Educator with the planning of educational activities for the Unity Community Center after-school program (M-F until 7:00 p.m.) and summer workshops. Additionally, this team member is responsible for assisting with behavior management, program registration, family communication, volunteer management, contacting program partners, and coordinating programs. This position requires a food service handler's certification, which can be obtained after employment begins.

4-H Summer Assistant - Woodford County

This 28-hour-per-week summer position will assist the 4-H Educator and Program Coordinator in all aspects of the Woodford County 4-H Show and summer programming. Duties include contacting volunteers, sending out mailings, developing marketing materials, maintaining a database, answering customer questions, setup/cleanup of 4-H Show, and other duties as assigned.
