Stimulate economic growth in your rural Illinois community

The ReFED Project's mission is to create economic growth in rural areas by providing business development assistance to beginning farmers, food processors, food hubs, food cooperatives, and independent grocers. The local government education session will talk about the launch of this project and how it can assist communities in your area.

Presenter: Sean Park, Program Manager, Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs, Western Illinois University

About the speaker:

Sean Park is a program manager for the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs at Western Illinois University. His business background includes 10 years as a business owner, 7 years in corporate operations, and 6 years as an Illinois Small Business Development Center Advisor.  He has taught Business Development, Advertising, Micro and Macro Economics, and Community Leadership. He is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Illinois Springfield.
