The Compost Ambassador program covers topics that will strengthen your ability to compost at home, teach others how and why they should compost, understand the science behind composting, learn about compost quality, and become a better user of compost whether you make it or purchase it.
In this program, you will have access to an online classroom through Learn @ Extension where you can interact with other students and instructors, download supplemental materials, and engage in home learning to prepare for the five live virtual sessions. The course concludes with an optional in-person workshop at an Illinois Extension Demonstration site.
Schedule
Class meets online via Zoom on Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from April 2 - April 30, 2025. An in-person workshop following the last online session will be held in three different locations. See each location's registration links for more details about dates and times for the in-person sessions.
