Learn the science and art of growing new plants from existing plants and seeds!
During this hands-on workshop, youth will explore several plant propagation methods, including cuttings, division, layering, and seed starting. Participants will gain practical experience propagating plants and learn how to care for them as they grow. This workshop is designed to help 4-H members prepare for the Horticulture exhibit class. Members are encouraged to use the skills learned to create an exhibit featuring a plant they propagated from cuttings, layering, division, or seed. Participants will also learn how to document their project by creating a photo board that shows the progression of plant growth from start to finish.
