WATSEKA AND PAXTON, Ill — Illinois Extension's Family Life and Nutrition and Wellness Teams are proud to bring a pair of double-feature talks to the Watseka Public Library, 201 S 4th St., Watseka, IL 60970, and the Paxton Carnegie Library, 254 S Market St., Paxton, IL 60957, on Friday, August 16.

Looking for ways to sharpen your mind and boost your brainpower? Join us in Watseka at 10 a.m. First up at 10 a.m., in "Head Strong" with Family Life Educator Emily Harmon, learn more about what you can do to keep your brain healthy and engaged. Then, after a short break, join us at 11 a.m. for "Eating Right for Cognitive Health" with Nutrition and Wellness Educator Rachel Mannen to learn about how to eat right for a healthy brain.

Feeling overwhelmed by mountains of leftovers in your fridge and the overflowing file cabinet in your office? Then join us in Paxton at 1 p.m. First up at 1 p.m., "Where to Start: Decluttering Your Home and Finances" with Family Life Educator Emily Harmon will help you simplify your space and finances.  Then, after a short break, "Cooking for One or Two," with Nutrition and Wellness Educator Rachel Mannen, will show you how to adjust recipes to feed one or two easily to ditch the mountain of leftovers.
