Dear Small Fruit & Vegetable Growers:
I hope you will mark your calendars for the upcoming 2017 Gateway Small Fruit and Vegetable Conference.
This year, as in past years, we bring you an informative, practical, and up-to-date educational program to address the challenges of growing small fruit and vegetables commercially in Southern Illinois.
This conference is being held at the Regency Conference Center in O'Fallon, IL. It is conveniently located at 400 Regency Park Drive just off Interstate 64. Again this year we will be combining Small Fruit & Strawberry School with Vegetable School. New this year: We are changing to a one-day conference.
On the production side, the University of Illinois Food Crops team will be on hand to present a wide range of important educational topics. Current trends in insect and disease management, as well as a variety of other production related topics will be discussed. Separate tracks will be offered for each production area.
As in past years, vendors will be on hand to discuss your production needs. As this is a very popular activity, time has been scheduled during the program to allow plenty of time to visit with vendors and other growers.
Advanced registration is $50.00 per farm, and a copy of the 2017 Midwest Fruit Spray Guide OR the 2017 Midwest Vegetable Production Guide for Commercial Growers will be included in the cost of registration.
Advanced registration is preferred and is available online or by mail. The deadline for receipt of advanced registration is February 8, 2017. Registration at the door is $60.00.
