Week of the Young Child 2016: Celebrating Our Youngest Learners!

The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) to shed light on the needs of young children (birth through age 8) and their families.  In support, the Family Files blog articles for April will focus on issues regarding young children.

We know more and more about the importance of children's earliest years in shaping their learning and development and how these experiences lay the foundation for children's success in school and later life.  The Week of the Young Child is a time to recommit ourselves to ensuring that each and every child experiences the type of environment that will promote their early learning, whether this is at home, child care, school, or in the community.

For more information about how you can be a part of every child's support system, visit the Week of the Young Child website at https://www.naeyc.org/woyc or continue to tune in to the Family Files blog this month.
