U of I Extension communications specialist Anita Wilkinson summarizes the workshops as follows:
A weed management workshop will be held at the Fulton County Extension Office in Lewistown on Feb. 7 and the Tazewell County Extension Office in Pekin on Feb. 9. and will feature the following topics:
- Weed ID and growth habits
- Herbicide sites of action
- Herbicide resistant weeds and resistance management
- Designing resilient weed management programs
Pre-registration is required and closes on Friday, February 3, 2017.
Registration costs $50 for certified crop advisors (CCA) and includes materials and a light refreshment. CCAs can earn up to 3 IPM CEUs.
Registration costs $20 for the general public and includes materials and a light refreshment.
