Status of transplanted perennial

Hello all!

After my last post, I figured some of you may be thinking I'll believe it when I see it. Well, here it is! I took the photo above two weeks after transplanting and cutting back my coral bells. In just two short weeks numerous leaves have started to re-grow after my "harsh" cut back of the perennial plant. So, you can imagine what is happening underground…roots are also beginning to regrow rapidly. This ensures me that the perennial will be ready to survive our cold winter. I have to admit we had an extremely warm September, so, that certainly helped speed up the re-growth process.

Stay tuned for an upcoming post on harvesting and storing your remaining fresh cut herbs.
