Alizah Harper is a Visiting Extension Outreach Associate, supporting statewide efforts focused on nutrition security, health equity, and community wellness. Her work brings together community partners and public agencies to better understand challenges affecting food access and identify practical solutions. Previously, Harper served as a SNAP-Ed Educator, where she focused on policy, systems, and environmental approaches to reduce barriers to healthy choices and promote community well-being.

Harper’s background spans clinical healthcare, health education, and community-based work, giving her a broad perspective on the factors that shape individual and community health. She is passionate about connecting people and organizations with the resources, information, and support needed to strengthen health and well-being in their communities.

Harper holds a Master of Public Health from Indiana University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology and an Associate of Arts in Chemistry from Indiana University Southeast. As a Certified Health Education Specialist, she brings experience in evidence-based education, collaborative engagement, and sustainable approaches to community health.
