Developing Broadband Leadership Webinar Series
Hosted by: University of Illinois Extension Local Government Education Program, Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Illinois Office of Broadband, and Benton Institute for Broadband & Society
Wednesdays at 11:30 -1 PM CST (May 13, May 20, May 27, and June 3)
Internet has never been more important in facilitating daily activities. Households with quality broadband connections can work, learn, heal, shop, and interact to an extent not thought previously possible. The unconnected – generally older, poorer, rural, and people of color – add connectivity to their list of challenges while educators, employers, healthcare professionals, retailers, and family members struggle to maintain connections.
The four-part Developing Broadband Leadership webinar series is designed to show how communities are addressing short-term broadband connectivity issues while moving forward with longer-term solutions.
- Part 1: Broadband – Now More than Ever
- Part 2: The Community Broadband Development Process
- Part 3: Broadband 101
- Part 4: Digital Inclusion
The webinar series is a collaborative effort among University of Illinois Extension, the Benton Institute for Broadband & Society, and the Illinois Office of Broadband. Live webinars will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays May 13, May 20, May 27, and June 3.
