Walk and learn in the COMLARA Park prairie on Saturday, August 3 at 9 a.m.! Illinois, the Prairie State, has lost nearly all of its original prairie land, but you can experience some of its wonders at the restored prairie south of the archery area at COMLARA Park. Your Master Naturalist guide will take you on a stroll through the prairie, pointing out wildflowers, plants, pollinators, and whatever else shows up. The walk will last about one hour. We will walk slowly with frequent stops at points of interest. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, and good walking shoes. Park in the grassy lot at the intersection of East 2300 North Road and North 1300 East Road.
