Homemade Hummus

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 Tablespoons water, more if needed
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 1 (15 oz.) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
Directions
  1. Add tahini, garlic, water, oil, cumin, salt and lemon juice to a food processor.
  2. Process until smooth.
  3. Add chickpeas.
  4. Process until smooth, scraping down sides of the bowl as needed.
  5. If hummus is too thick, add another tablespoon of water.
  6. Serve immediately or store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
