The 4-H Teen Teacher program is for youth who will be 13 or older by September 1, 2022 and are interested in serving their community through providing interactive lessons and activities to local youth while building their skills in communication, leadership, and problem solving. This training is for youth who are new to or have recently applied to become part of the 4-H Teen Teacher SPIN Club or are current Teen Teachers interested in refreshing their training and are interested in STEAM Team, Unity Summer Enrichment Camp, or other programs under the Teen Teacher umbrella. Youth who are currently part of the club but who have not been active over the past year are encouraged to register for a refresher. Current Teen Teachers are encouraged to register to help with training sessions and speak to new participants about their experiences.
All new candidates must complete Child Protection Training prior to the first training and submit their certificate on or before training day. Follow the link to setup an account and choose "4-H Child Protection" from the side menu. https://web.extension.illinois.edu/4hc/
Training will take place at Unity Community Center located at 632 Orlando Ave in Normal from 8:00am-4:00pm.
Youth may attend training on either March 4 or March 7.
