Strengthening Skills for Life and Work

Join Illinois Extension educators and local experts for the third session in the series, which invites you to reflect on your current wellness, explore new strategies, and set meaningful goals for the year ahead. This week, we’ll explore these two areas:
  • Intellectual Wellness: Keeping the brain active is essential at every age. Learn lifestyle factors that support brain health and explore puzzles, games, and challenges that stretch the mind while enhancing thinking skills. Presenter: Kara Schweitzer, Illinois Extension Family Life Educator
  • Vocational Wellness: Career paths often shift, and adapting to change is key. Discover how to build new skills, pursue continuing education, and embrace vocational growth. Presenters: Kole Shuda & Olivia Gonzalez, Black Hawk College PaCE Department.
Pre-registration is required, and the cost is $10 per week. Includes light refreshments, a take-home self-assessment, and a related wellness item.

Upcoming Weeks:
Jan 21 – Intellectual & Vocational Wellness (Butterworth Education Center)

Jan 28 – Social & Financial Wellness (Butterworth Education Center)
