Extreme changes in temperature can be stressful.

Explore examples of past and future environmental change and discuss predictions and future risks based on observations and simulations. Discuss current research on predicting future risks of severe heat stress on human and agricultural health and productivity. See how these changes have implied an impact on trade, built infrastructure, power, cooling systems, transportation sectors, demographics, and migration.

Presenter: Matthew Huber, professor in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences department at Purdue University and inaugural director of the Institute for a Sustainable Future (ISF).
