The products in our home come from many places and it is hard to know how these products are made. Finding products that are made with natural ingredients is important to you and is better for the planet. Natural ink made from local plant materials offer an array of beautiful, natural colors for use as paint or dye. Illinois Extension provides the resources needed to help you create ink from plant materials. Join local artist Dr. Carol Hays to learn the process of creating ink from black currants. A lesson on black currants will be provided by Nick Frillman, University of Illinois Extension Local Food Systems and Small Farms Educator. Discover a natural source of color by making your own.
