Sourdough Breadmaking Essentials

 Come learn about the sourdough bread-making process with Jenna Smith and Nick Frillman, Illinois Extension Educators. Participants will learn the basic steps of the sourdough bread-making process, including making their own sourdough starter, the stretch and fold process, shaping technique, and more. Class will include a discussion on the importance of sourcing and using locally/regionally sourced grains in sourdough. Participants will also get to taste a pre-made sourdough bread loaf. Come prepared with your sourdough questions in mind.
