Linda provides outreach and communication on state and federal grant funding opportunities, the energy transition, and community benefits. She manages outreach for the Illinois Extension portion of the Great Lakes Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center through the Thriving Communities program. This work involves working with communities to identify relevant grant opportunities. She also contributes to the Energy Education Council and its educational content by providing information on the latest developments in renewable energy and how people can integrate best practices for safety and energy efficiency.

Linda has a bachelor’s degree in health society and policy, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Utah, and a master’s in urban planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Research Assistant with the Climate Jobs Institute, and a Graduate Researcher with the Community and Economic Development Team with Illinois Extension.
