AgrAbility to provide tips for safe fall harvest

URBANA, Ill. – Every day, about 100 agricultural workers suffer an injury that results in lost work time. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health emphasizes the unique nature of farm life where family members share in the risk of the industry.

Harvest is a busy time for agricultural producers in Illinois. Risk for injury, burnout, and stress are increased during the busy season. Join Illinois AgrAbility and Illinois Farm Bureau at noon, Sept. 9 in an online webinar to learn about important considerations for safety and health during harvest.

Register online at go.illinois.edu/AgrAbilityFall21. If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate, or for more information, contact Josie M Rudolphi at josier@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting access needs.
