
Bloomington, Ill. — The City of Bloomington announces the partial closure of Commerce Parkway, which will impact access to the University of Illinois Extension Office at 1615 Commerce Parkway.
Closure Details:
- Start Date: Monday, March 10, 2025
- Affected Area: Hamilton Road, from Commerce Parkway to Morrissey Drive (US150)
- Duration: October 2025
During this period, the intersection of Hamilton Road and Commerce Parkway will be fully closed to all traffic. However, access to local properties, including the University of Illinois Extension Office, will be maintained. Lane reductions will occur along the south side of Hamilton Road between Commerce Parkway and Morrissey Drive, and on southbound Morrissey Drive from the Hamilton Road intersection to approximately 500 feet south. It is best to access the office from Veterans Parkway and Commerce Parkway.
Access to the University of Illinois Extension Office:
- The office will remain open during its regular hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (closed from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM).
- At least one entrance/exit point to the property will be available at all times.
- Visitors are advised to allow extra travel time and follow posted detour signs to ensure a smooth visit.
