URBANA, Ill. – When looking at green blades of grass, it can be difficult to tell the difference between species. Identifying grasses does not have to be tricky with help from University of Illinois Extension. This fall, join Energy and Environment Energy and Environment Educator Erin Garrett for a three-part webinar series on grass identification.
The first session of Which Grass is Which will be 10 a.m. CDT Sept. 28 and will cover the basics of grass identification as well as woodland grasses. The second session on prairie grass identification starts 10 a.m. CDT Sept. 30. The third session will finish with identifying nuisance grasses, such as those commonly found on roadsides and in other disturbed areas. Lawn and turf grasses are not the focus of this series.
Register in advance at go.illinois.edu/grassID2020. This webinar series will be presented via Zoom.
If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in any of these programs, please contact the presenter at emedvecz@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your access needs.
