Normal, IL — Food insecurity continues to impact families across our community, and Unity Cupboard is stepping up to provide hope and nourishment to those in need. “At this crucial moment when federal safety net programs are becoming harder to access, more of our neighbors will be relying on community programs like this one to ensure their family has the food they need.” Located at 632 Orlando Avenue, Normal, IL, Unity Cupboard offers a welcoming space where individuals and families can access essential food items during challenging times.

Unity Cupboard is open every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., providing convenient access for those who need assistance.

This vital work would not be possible without the generosity and partnership of key supporters. Midwest Food Bank has played an instrumental role by supplying food for distribution, ensuring that shelves are stocked with nutritious options for our neighbors. Additionally, U-Haul has provided a truck to transport food from Midwest Food Bank to Unity Cupboard, making the logistics of this effort seamless and efficient.

“We are deeply grateful to Midwest Food Bank and U-Haul for their commitment to fighting hunger in our community,” said Katie Buckley, Extension County Director.  “Their support allows us to serve more families and make a meaningful difference.”

Unity Cupboard invites community members to spread the word and join in the fight against food insecurity. Whether through volunteering, donations, or advocacy, every effort helps ensure that no one goes hungry.
