Time: Check-in from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and Pick up at 2:15 p.m.
Location: Trinity Lutheran School, 1102 W. Hamilton Road, Bloomington, IL 61704
Age: Open to ALL youth ages 5-14
Cost: $25 4-H members and $30 Non-4-H

Registration includes: morning workshops, lunch, afternoon workshops, and workshop supplies!
 

Workshop options:

Buzy about Bees - Beginning beekeeping. Learn what takes place in a hive. What do the bees do? How do they make honey? Who is really the queen?

Got Bees? Now What? - Intermediate beekeeping for those who have or had bees. Topics of hive inspections, pest management, queen cells and splitting a hive.

All About Dogs - Explore what you can do in 4-H with your dog or find out what to expect if you are wanting to add a dog to your family. Did you also know that you don’t have to own a dog to do 4-H projects on dogs? Join us to learn all about dogs.

Wildlife Animal Science - Learn about animal ecosystems, predators/prey, and identify animal tracks from different local species.

Forestry - There's more to trees than just leaves. Come learn about the parts of the tree in this hands-on workshop.

Interior Design - This workshop will teach the design elements of interior design and then a fun project will be made using the elements.

Exploring the Wide World of Paper - Using papercraft and scrapbook supplies, participants will create interactive, 3D works of art.

Shooting Sports - This workshop is a great opportunity to introduce youth to the areas of shooting sports.

Clay - In this workshop you can explore working with clay. Make a pinch pot, magnet, or create art all around. The sky is the limit!

Quads Away Drones Workshop - Youth will learn about how drones work, basic regulations for flying drones, and will get the chance to fly a drone.

Ag Innovation - Put your knowledge and teamwork skills to the test. Learn about innovations in Ag while solving escape room puzzles with your team.

Geology - Solidify your knowledge of rocks, identify different types of rocks, and learn how to put together a fantastic display.

Food Decorating - Learn a range of techniques and pattern working with cupcake decorating. You will find inspiration and improve your decorating skills.

Food Demonstration - Experienced 4-H member, Maelee Palmer, will give you tips and techniques to put together a winning food demonstration.

Public Presentation - Like to speak in front of an audience? Or maybe you’d like to feel more comfortable doing so? Join us to learn the tips and tricks to being a great public speaker.

Electricity - Come learn about electricity and practice putting together a switch.

Terrarium Time - Use your imagination and creativity to build a miniature garden with tiny houseplants and miniature decorations. Learn the process of creating a terrarium as well as how to take care of your creation when you get home.

Becoming a Family Tree Detective - Creating a can be lots of fun! We'll learn how to fill out a family tree and how to search for clues about our ancestors lives.

Photography - Practice techniques for taking quality pictures and leave this workshop with ideas for developing a fantastic photography exhibit for the summer 4-H Show.

Sewing is Fun - Learn the basics of sewing and get a start on your fair project.

Creative Writing - Interested in creative writing but not sure how to get started? Then this is the WRITE class for you! Learn some tips and tricks to get those creative juices flowing!

Consumer Education - Become financially savvy with Camaya, Consumer Economics Extension Educator.

3-D Pen - Discover a new kind of art as we take everyday designs and make them 3-D.
 

This event will operate in accordance to current and ongoing University of Illinois, Center for Disease Control, and Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines.
