Mushroom Growing Workshop
Calling all growers, homeowners and garden enthusiasts! You have grown vegetables, fruits and flowers, but have you ever grown your own mushrooms?
Learn to grow these delectable treats at an upcoming workshop as part of the Livingston County Master Gardener "Learn to Grow" summer series. On June 18 at 6:30 p.m., a presentation will be given by Horticulture Educator, Kelly Allsup, and Master Gardener, Cindy Kinate, to demonstrate how to grow your very own white and pink oyster mushrooms in your backyard or in your own home. Each attendee will get a mycelium cake to take home and in a few short weeks will have fresh, tasty mushrooms for cooking and eating raw for only $20. Please register online at https://web.extension.illinois.edu/lmw/register/ or call the Livingston Extension office at (815) 842-1776.
