EUREKA, Ill. – Do you wish you used your slow cooker more often? Are you unsure of what foods you can create with it? Join University of Illinois Extension for their monthly “Diabetes Clinic – Using Your Slow Cooker” class from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 16 at a new location, Eureka United Methodist Church (208 N. Callender St., Eureka, IL). Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator and Registered Dietitian, Jenna Smith, will teach you how to save time and money by using your slow cooker to produce a variety of delicious diabetes-friendly meals.
Smith is excited to partner with Eureka United Methodist Church to offer more space and ample parking. Diabetes clinics are informal but informational walk-in programs with a different topic each month designed especially for persons living with diabetes. There is no cost to attend this program and no registration is necessary. Diabetes Clinic meets at the Eureka United Methodist Church in Eureka.
