USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) has mailed out two vegetable related surveys this fall. The annual vegetable production survey was mailed out on October 22 and the crops of interest this year include snap beans, sweet corn, and pumpkins. Results from this survey will be ready in February. The second survey that has gone out is the Vegetable Chemical Use Survey, which samples growers every other year, will run through January 13. Crops of interest for this survey include pumpkins and snap beans, and results will be ready in July. If you happen to receive one of these mailings from NASS, please take the time to respond.
