I am so thankful to have been able to attend this year's NEAFCS Annual Session held in San Antonio, Texas September 24-27. As the saying goes, "everything is bigger in Texas." This held true with our Texas Affiliates hosting one of the largest sessions in attendance in years. There were over 890 colleagues, including almost 200 first time attendees. Our association, whom may not be as large as some affiliates, represented Illinois proudly with a staggering 12 of us in attendance.
Susan Glassman, nutrition and wellness educator and IEAFCS member, attended the 2018 PILD conference and shares her experiences in this post. Learn more about PILD online.
Thank you for sending me as the IEAFCS representative to attend the 2018 Public Issues Leadership Development (PILD) Conference, Cultivating a Climate of Civil Dialogue.
Welcome to the IEAFCS website and blog! As current president, I am committed to strengthening our organization and providing the opportunity for all members to grow in their profession in order to improve the quality of life for Illinois individuals, families, and communities. We have exciting professional development opportunities coming your way! First, please join us for the two-day Joint Council of Extension Professionals (JCEP) conference held at the Macon County Extension office in Decatur on March 13 and 14.
