The Cook County Extension STEM Team focuses on providing local teachers with extended, engaging, and reflective professional learning designed to help them align their science teaching practice with the shifts called for in the NRC’s A Framework for K-12 Science Education. 

We provide a wide variety of professional development programs that focus on the Next Generation Science Standards and Social and Emotional Learning standards. Sessions can be offered at your location during the school year or summer and can be adjusted to fit the needs of your teachers. Teachers will receive ISBE Professional Development Hours for each workshop.
