4-H Kick-Off & Party for the Preserves with FPCC

Join Cook County 4-H and the Forest Preserves of Cook County (FPCC) to celebrate National Public Lands Day with a full day of activities at Camp Bullfrog!
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, FPCC will host its Party for the Preserves from 12 - 9 pm, and 4-H will be in attendance, hosting its annual Kick-Off from 12 - 3 pm. The Kick-Off is a great chance for new and current 4-H families to learn about 4-H, meet leaders, and participate in games, demonstrations, and family activities.
Additional activities will be provided by the FPCC, including:
- Paddling: Noon to 6 pm
- Funkadesi Live Performance: 5:30 pm
- Night Walks & Telescope Viewing: 7:30 to 9 pm

Join Cook County as we celebrate the new 4-H year! Take the opportunity to connect, explore, and begin something new.
This year, we are partnering with the Forest Preserves of Cook County for their Party for the Preserves celebration and invite all to stay after to enjoy activities with the Forest Preserves staff.

This event is free and open to youth ages 5-18. Participants will enjoy a range of activities, including STEM exploration, arts and crafts, and cooking. More details to come!

4-H Winter Workshop

Join Cook County 4-H for crafting time! Youth will learn from 4-H volunteers and staff how to create a variety of handmade ornaments to take home for the holidays.
This event is free and open to youth ages 5-18. All supplies and materials will be provided. Warm refreshments and cozy treats will be available.
