Grown an edible yard with native fruit and nut trees and shrubs. Support urban ecosystems & wildlife, enhance landscapes, and produce food for human consumption. Because native plants are easier to care for than commercial apples or peaches, they are great for beginning growers.

Saplings will be distributed at either:
April 11, from 1 - 3 pm
Cook Co. Extension Office, 8753 S Greenwood Ave, Chicago

or

April 12, from 1 - 3 pm
Mayfield Garden with Austin Garden Collective
301 North Mayfield Ave., Chicago

You can choose up to three of each:
American Plum, Chickasaw Plum, Elderberry, Hazelnut, Pawpaw, Persimmon, and Serviceberry.
Before ordering please learn more about each type by reading Sapling Descriptions and Planting Instructions.
This event is for Cook County residents only.
