Aruna Budhram

Aruna Budhram leads the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) team, passionately delivering nutrition education to the South Side of Chicago. With a decade of experience in community health, Budhram employs the para-professional educator model to empower adults, teens, and youth in improving nutrition, food management, diet quality, food safety, and physical activity. 

Having completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in Nutrition & Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition at the University of Minnesota, Budhram joined Extension in 2017. Her profound commitment to community health stems from a genuine desire to help families make informed choices about their health. Through her leadership, she continues to make a lasting impact on the well-being of the South Side communities, fostering positive lifestyle changes.
