Wellness Wednesdays webinar series offers strategies to promote mental and physical wellbeing

COOK COUNTY, Ill. – The need to take care of one’s physical and mental health is being increasingly recognized in light of the current pandemic. Acknowledging the growing demand to provide communities with tools and strategies to address mental and physical wellbeing, the University of Illinois Extension community health team in Cook County presents the Wellness Wednesdays webinar series.

Through the six-session biweekly series, the community health team strives to promote self-care as a means to address mental and physical wellness. Each session will help participants understand how the environment that surrounds them and the choices they make can influence their wellbeing. The community health team is excited to provide this series and help participants learn about overall mental wellbeing, seasonal affective disorder, stress, mindful eating, self-compassion, and sleep.

The series will take place from 9:15 to 10 a.m. via Zoom every other Wednesday beginning on February 10, 2021. Registration for the free Wellness Wednesdays series is now open at go.illinois.edu/wellnesswednesdays.
