Through partnerships with schools, food pantries, and other community organizations, James McCombs helps the University of Illinois Extension promote policy, system, and environmental changes that make healthier choices in nutrition and physical activity easier for communities. Ask him about strategies your organization can use to nudge people to make healthier choices. He brings a background in public health research, health education, and program planning to the SNAP-Ed team. James has received a Master’s of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master’s of Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan, and his bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. James joined the University of Illinois staff in the spring of 2015.
